Individuals or work teams volunteers wanting to stay overnight should contact the PDA Call Center at (866) 732-6121 or register online.

Tropical Storm Fay and Hurricane Gustav
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is standing by to
provide assistance to communities affected by flooding left
by Tropical Storm Fay in Florida.  Florida Presbyterian
Disaster Assistance Network (FLAPDAN), a link between the
six presbyteries in Florida, the Synod of the South
Atlantic and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, has been
closely monitoring the situation to determine need.

PDA also stands ready to respond to Hurricane Gustav.  The
strong rains and winds packed by Gustav have killed 16
people in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and concern
remains high that Gustav will gain in strength before
passing over Cuba and Jamaica en route to the Gulf of
Mexico and the U.S. Gulf Coast.

PDA has taken steps to evacuate the Presbyterian Volunteer
Villages in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Information will be posted to the PDA Web site as it
becomes available.
