NADRA Launches Another First-Ever Industry Event!
Greetings!
I want to take a minute to thank all of our sponsors and those who attended the NADRA events in Providence, Rhode Island last week. NADRA was "In the House" and we were rocking! This was a first for our industry, and with the success of this one, it certainly will not be the last. We have three more courses to follow in the series to become a Master Deck Builder (MDB) and dates will be announced in the months ahead. Keep in mind; these classes are for more than just the builder. Everyone should be on deck for the opportunity to attend. Can you imagine if the sales person at the lumber yard, the manufactures representative, or even the person at the factory had a better understanding of what is involved when installing the products of our industry? I guarantee you that anyone who attends will learn something. The NADRA education series is going to change our industry and I want you to be there with us as we do.

 NADRA Networking Dinner:
Over 75 Industry professionals gathered the evening before the big day of education for a networking dinner on the 17th floor of the historic Biltmore hotel. About 40 of those attendees were from NADRA's very own New England Chapter.
"Kudos to all involved. The ballroom at the Providence Biltmore was an inspirational venue with beautiful views from high above the city. Got there in time to attend the New England chapter meeting and it looks like their off to an exceptional start. Having the national board members show up at the meeting to answer questions and offer guidance was an added benefit. The Networking dinner was as expected, a great time. Sharing my time with old friends and making some new ones, all with a common goal of elevating NADRA builders to a higher standard, makes me proud to be a part of it all."

A Word from Fred Aldrich, NADRA NE Chapter President: I would like to thank all those who attended our chapter meeting this past week in Providence, R.I. It is truly an exciting time in our industry and the events last week are a great example of that excitement. At our third meeting of the New England chapter we had more than 40 members and prospective members join us in Providence. In addition we were joined by members of the Board of Directors of the National NADRA. This was a great turnout for a chapter that had its first meeting in February. "The education event in Rhode Island was a success! I'm certain the attendees left with a stronger grasp of how to design and build a deck with a greater respect for the existing structure. For those working towards their MDB certification, I hope the class was an aid to completing their exam.
I really enjoyed meeting so many members and guests from the northeast and I hope they can say the same. Attending the New England chapter meeting with the Board of Directors was great, and I hope it was encouraging to prospective members. The dinner was a blast, the Biltmore hotel was a great location, and timing for the event for just before the JLC show was a perfect way to maximize travel. I look forward to presenting the next class in the series at the next NADRA event!"
