CFC Decks and Fences 
 
 
Leaf design on composite deck. This was not an
original design of our own. The homeowner saw this
design in marketing from Trex and wanted us to
replicate it. Ornamental arc iron railings with
were installed around perimeter. Adirondack chairs
 were built out of Trex material as well.
This deck complimented a beautifully landscaped yard.

As I watched the Olympics over the past couple weeks it was amazing to see some of them realize their dream and equally heartbreaking to see them fail. I wondered how many times the athletes were told they weren't good enough or that they didn't make the team? The one thing we can learn from the Olympians is to never give up and continue to work hard and get better. I do not care how long you have been in this industry there is always something new to learn or a product that will help change your business. Maybe it is just learning a new software program to make you more efficient or taking a class to improve yourself. The point being is that if you are not working to get better you are falling behind.
 
 As you reflect on the past few months of being so busy and all the projects you completed also think about how you might have done a better job in making that troubled customer happy or maybe how you could have sold that "big" project that slipped away. There are several good months of building ahead and you too can reach for the gold.

We included many pictures from all of our stops around the country. We visited with members and prospective members from Georgia to Idaho. We have a solid interest to start chapters in Colorado, Utah and Texas.
 
This really was a great trip. Hopefully with support from the industry and members alike we will be able to spend more time face to face rather then by phone and email. We learned so much about the different needs in the different regions of the country. Everything from The Beetle Bug that is destroying forests upon forests of lodgepole pines to the fact that builders in Texas need to remind the homeowner to "water your deck"!
