Northward Ho! At the turn of the century, the northern territories were established as viable alternatives for those pioneers who ventured that direction looking for opportunity.
That's right. In 2002, Dream Cafe expanded once again (remember, in the mid-nineties, there was the short lived Oak Cliff expansion). This time, owner Mary O'Brien set her sights on the boom town of Addison.
Mary established her northern outpost in the Village on the Parkway shopping center right in the heart of Dallas' suburb most known for its bars and restaurants. After weathering the economic downturn that sent many store owners and other restaurants packing, Addison's Dream Cafe has held up and is an institution in its own right.
Almost 10 years in, we're still not sure if anyone actually lives in Addison, but one thing's for sure, plenty of people go out, making Dream Cafe a well-established breakfast, lunch and brunch spot.
