How to Display Your Miniature Art Collection

Adorable Age

Miniature art can be referred to the little jewels of the art world.

One of the nicest advantages of miniature art is that you do not need a specific place or a large wall or area to enjoy them.

They are perfect to hang on the small walls between windows and doors.  Paintings work well on small easels for mantles, end tables and bookcase shelves.  They can add a touch of color or excitement to small corners.  You can have an extensive art collection without needing a lot of space.

One of our collectors was very creative. She removed the wire and screw eyes from the back of the painting and replaced them with magnets.  Now she enjoys seeing them on her refrigerator.

The art works very well when grouped together.  You can have a group based on the same artist, subject matter or style.  They do not all need to be the same size but do need to be in balance with one another.

Another advantage of miniature art is that they are easy to transport from one home to another.

Birthdays, Christmas and other holidays are the perfect time to give miniature art as a gift. Your special person will receive an original work of art that they will enjoy for their lifetime.

Tim Luke

Tim Luke, star of HGTV's "Cash in the Attic" visited with us in Nags Head. Tim Luke has an extensive background in the antique and collectibles field. He has also  participated as an appraiser on public television's "Antiques Roadshow." I had the chance to meet him in Florida where we were attending an appraisal class. Both of us are members of the International Society of Appraisers. I can help you with your appraisal of art or animation and can help you find an appraiser in the other areas that you made need. To read more, visit appraisals.  We are standing in front of a painting by Dan Dunn.
Demonstration Show

Bluff Creek

Meet the Artists & Watch them Work - July 03, 2008 Through July 05, 2008 Demonstration Art Show - 10-1 & 2-5 each day Want to know what an etching is or how a watercolor painting is created? Award winning artist, David Hunter will be demonstrating etchings and Carolyn Cohen will be demonstrating watercolors. This is also a wonderful event to bring the entire family to since it is very educational. The original art that is being created can be dedicated by the artist and makes a unique remembrance of your vacation or is a perfect gift.
We hope that you will visit the miniature art show, either in person or from our website.  Please let us know if we can help you with anything.
Sincerely,

Everyone at Seaside Art Gallery
