THREE GIRLS GOSSIP
Mobile MergerIf you emailed us yesterday, you probably received an auto-reply that said we were attending an all day online conference.

We both spent the day learning about mobile marketing and social media during the Mobile Merger: the mobile industry's premier online event for merging mobile into business. Sessions included Getting Ahead of the Mobile Innovation Curve, The State of Mobile Advertising, Turbo-Charge Your Social Media Strategy and more. We both had a great time and are excited to integrate what we learned into current & future client campaigns!

TIPS & TRICKS

ThreeGirlsTanSmilesDIY Media Photography Tips: Before you begin pitching your business or product to the media, it's always best to have a few high-resolution images - just in case they ask (they generally do).

At Three Girls, we make sure each of our clients have at least 3 photos ready-to-go before we approach any journalists so we can send them as soon as they're requested and don't need to worry about the reporter's deadline. For those that can't afford to hire a professional, here are a few DIY media photography tips:

  • Make sure your camera is set to the highest quality setting. Print media needs pictures to be 5×7 inches and 300 dots per inch.
  • Use a plain white background.

How to Proofread Effectively: When promoting your company through written word, it is extremely important to pay close attention to detail - especially spelling. Consumers often choose between competing businesses based on the text of the website, brochure(s) or other written collateral. Here are proofreading tips to make sure your company's written materials are accurate:

  • Spell / Grammar Check - Almost all word processing programs come with Spell / Grammar Check, so use it. If a word is underlined with that squiggly line, check it. It's important to note that it's not always correct, but it will help you catch a few glaring errors.
