Exciting news: The Expanding Your
Horizons (EYH) Network just received the
prestigious Public Service Award from the
National Science Board as an organization
that has made significant contributions and
impact in public understanding of STEM!
Dedicated to encouraging young women to
pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics (STEM) careers, the EYH Network
puts hands-on, interactive conferences
together across the country and
internationally throughout the year. They
have served over 775,000 middle and high
school girls since their inception in 1974,
and have been led by over 5,000 women
mathematicians, scientists and engineers.

Life outside the office: Downtime
activities for Erika have been fruitful -
literally! Erika's been spending time
out in her growing garden, and is especially
excited her tomato plant already has budding
flowers.
Emily, on the other hand, is among
the masses sadly counting down to the end of
Lost. Will all the questions ever be
answered?? Probably not...but that won't
stop her from watching!

TIPS & TRICKS

Your Packaging is Your Brand: A lot of
small business owners and entrepreneurs don't
realize that the way a product is packaged
represents their company as much as they and
their employees do. When someone orders your
product online, do you think about the
presentation when they open it?
At Three Girls, we work with our clients to
create Sample Packages that will impress the
media because if a journalist isn't
impressed, why would they tell their readers
to buy one? The same is true of customers -
if they aren't impressed, why would they tell
their friends and family to buy one? Why
would they come back and order from you
again? Packaging can't make a bad product
good, but it can help a good product receive
more attention and build brand awareness.
Here are a couple of tips Three Girls has to
offer:
1. Include concise information. We
recommend one or two pages that answer your
most common questions and direct the
recipient to more information on your
website.
2. Include colored tissue paper to add
some color without excessive expense. A
little tissue paper can go a long way in
spicing up the visual appeal of a
package.
