Extra, extra! This past week The Retro
Dome was featured in the San Jose Mercury
News online.
...when Annie is shown at San Jose's Retro
Dome from Feb. 26 to 28, Scott and Shannon
Guggenheim are not only hoping people sing
along, they are actually encouraging it.
For the screening of the 1982 John Huston
film about the young spunky orphan named
Annie, the Guggenheims have planned a
sing-along, a singing contest and a costume
contest...
...Movies aren't the only way the Guggenheims
are bringing retro into people's lives. The
dome, which houses two theaters, has a movie
side and a live theater side. The couple has
been producing live theater in the area for a
number of years and is happy to have a
permanent home to showcase their retro-themed
shows.
Currently, rehearsals are taking place for
Shout! The Mod Musical, which opens March 5.
The Guggenheims have also put on Schoolhouse
Rock Live and their original production of
Santastic!, a Christmas musical.

THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

Life outside the office has been busy for us
here at Three Girls. Erika is currently
training to be her sister-in-laws Lamaze
coach. Her new niece or nephew (its a
surprise!) is due March 25.
Erika and Emily have both been glued to the
Olympics, too. A fan of the Norwegian Curling
Teams pants (pictured above), Emilys
favorite sports at the winter games include
figure skating, short-track speed skating and
moguls. Despite a small crush on Bob Costas,
his commentary isnt Erikas favorite part of
the Olympic coverage: her favorites include
short-track speed skating, figure skating and
luge.

5 Tips to Manage Your Online
Image
How to Respond to Review Sites Like
Yelp
Inc. Magazines February issue included an
article, Youve
Been Yelped, that chronicled small
business owners experiences with positive
and negative reviews on the popular business
critique site, Yelp. As small
business owners, its hard not to take
criticism personally, but the article has a
few points we all need to be aware of when
managing our companys online image (whether
on Yelp or another public review site):
1. Ignoring Yelp Wont Make It Go
Away. Lauren Hart, owner of the Root (a
salon in downtown Phoenix) wisely stated in
the article, When youre in a trend-driven
business, if youre not keeping up with the
trends, youre just going to get old with
your clientele and die. Brad Keeling, the
owner of a chain of dry cleaners, agreed
stating, Ignoring Yelp gets you nothingYou
cant hate the future.
