Crown's New RM 6000 Series Narrow-aisle Reach Truck with MonoLift™ Mast

Crown recently set out to design a reach truck that would maximize open slots at the top of racks that fill warehouses and distribution centers. They also realized that operators would benefit from visibility features to reduce strain and fatigue associated with managing loads at height.

The result is the Crown RM 6000, a reach truck with outstanding visibility at height, eye level and ground level, which builds operator confidence, fosters more throughput, and results in less damage to product, racks and trucks. The RM 6000's mast is offset seven inches to the left of the operator, and narrows as it is raised. A redesigned reach carriage creates a larger window at eye level, giving the operator a better view of fork tips and load. The load backrest was modified by designing a notch in the upper right-hand corner so that operators could easily scan at ground level from their position in the forklift.

The Crown RM 6000 is the first-ever monomast narrow aisle reach forklift for use in warehouses and distribution centers. Reach trucks traditionally have dual upright masts, but the RM 6000 uses Crown's patented MonoLift™ mast to reach higher with a smaller footprint. And reach it does: the RM 6000 series extends to 505 inches and deliver 1,000 pounds more capacity at height, an industry record.
