Connecting People to What Matters Most
Deloittes Talent Research - Part 2
|
"Connecting" matters. CEOs are constantly talking about the need to connect with customers and suppliers, across teams and silos, and to connect to strategies to meet big goals. In this new world of work, diverse groups of people are connected across professions, across generations and across cultures in a huge global network.
Connecting people to what matters most is an important business imperative. Accessing networks provides flexibility to respond to future challenges.
A Deloitte Research study explores this issue and offers practical ideas to build connections that drive innovation and growth. The focus is on three broad kinds of connections: connecting people with people, connecting people to a sense of purpose, and connecting people to resources.

Creating Organisational Transformations McKinsey Global Survey Results
|
The McKinsey Quarterly asked executives from around the world about a recent major change effort at their company, including goals such as completing a merger, dealing with a crisis, or reducing costs. They were asked how their organisations designed and managed the change, how the employees engaged in the change and how involved senior leaders were. Only a third of transformations of any kind were deemed very or extremely successful.
At companies that did change successfully; transformations were managed differently - clear and high goals were set, large number of tactics were used to engage employees, and communication about the change focused on the positive aspects rather than pointing out problems. .
