Summer Happenings
at ILI

Greetings!
Since we opened in 1984 we have served an average of 500 students each year in a variety of different programs.  That's over 12,500 students.  Wow!  Often we hear from our students about their successes - green cards, graduate school, marriages and children.  This Friday we can celebrate the success of one our Intensive English Program students, Francesco Tumbiolo, at his art opening upstairs in the Center for the Arts.  We hope you can join us.

In this newsletter, you'll find a lot of opportunities for language practice and cultural exchange.  Tomorrow night we are hosting a Peace Corps information night and next Wednesday, June 16th, 5:30-6:60pm, we have our monthly Spotlight on ILI.

Here's to a great start of the summer and exciting World Cup 2010!

.... but can't afford the time or money to get away? Consider hosting a student! Our Home-stay Program brings our Intensive English Program (IEP) and TESOL (teachers in training) students into the community to stay with area hosts.

Courses are held year-round and students study a minimum of  4 weeks. Average length of stay is 8 weeks. Hosts are expected to provide a private room, a warm and friendly environment for our students and be within walking distance to the school or on a bus route. ILI provides a weekly stipend.
