Fall Greetings!
Yes, I have accepted the fact that summer is over and that a possibly
glorious autumn is upon us. It is starting to feel autumnal - word of
the month - autumnal!
As for holidays, October is best-known for
Halloween and Columbus/Indigenous People's Day weekend - the weekend of the Paradise City Arts Festival. The Festival will feature a Silent Auction to benefit
the Breast Form Fund. Remember that October is Breast Cancer Awareness
month.
We have some exciting events coming up. Please read on for more details on a new cooking class, our annual International Festival and a benefit for English language learners.
Enjoy the season. Turn over a new leaf! Study a language. See below for Saturday Spanish.

| Giving Voice: A Benefit for English Language Learners
|
|
Wednesday, November 19
5:30-7:00pm
The Hotel Northampton Ballroom We're excited about Giving Voice: A Benefit for English Language
Learners, the first event of its kind for ILI!
Sponsored by Florence Savings Bank with additional support from the Bank of Western Massachusetts,
Giving Voice promises to be a truly wonderful evening. The Hotel Northampton has graciously offered to host this event, with appetizers,
desserts and a cash bar, so admission is free, but we encourage
attendees to make a meaningful gift to the school and opportunities to
support our work will be available to everyone.
Music performed by our
students and immigrant stories will provide us with an inspiring
reminder of how important ILI and its mission is to the communities we
serve.
If you haven't already saved your space, please contact Amy Ben Ezra at 413-586-7569 to do so soon, as seating is limited.
See you there!
