FUN FACT: In the 1930s book, "Richard Halliburton's Complete Book of Marvels" he tells the tale of swimming the Panama Canal in the 1920s while dodging alligators. This bon vivant traveler still holds the record for paying the smallest toll (based on weight - 36 cents.) As I walked onto the viewing platform last week the loud speaker announced Richard Halliburton's famous swim! I just read the book, so that was really cool.

I love the photo of Melanie Griffith and Sharon Stone kissing after having lunch together - while holding their copies of our book they had just bought from me. It appeared in a German gossip magazine. Can you imagine? My friend saw it while sitting in the dentist's office in Germany and told my friend Cindy who told me! What are the odds?

Keeping with a book theme, my gal pal and creative collaborator Patti Astor has finally completed the book about her fabulous life and the famous FUN Gallery. Chocked full of incredible stories, dirty dish, and some of my photographs - that is my photo on the cover - this is a must-read for anyone interested in art, pop culture, or the NYC graffiti scene of the early 80s.

Patti's book kick-off went down Saturday at Clic Gallery in NYC. FUN Gallery... The True Story is a memoir recounting Astor's experiences as a ballerina turned young anti-Vietnam revolutionary who eventually went on to open what turned into the most famous art gallery in the world.
