Aquatic Facility Operator Course
March 21-23, 2012: This course provides in-depth instruction in all facets of aquatic facility opertaion and management. The AFO course is specifically designed to meet the needs of those working in public, semi public and municipality pools and water park facilities. The AFO program offers a unique discussion of risk management, not usually directed towards operations personnel. More/ Register

Legislative Report:
WRPA is working to get a Local Parks appropriation in the Jobs Package. The overall package in the House is about $1.3 billion. The overall package in the House is about $1.3 billion. Land Aquisition Forum
The 4th Annual State Land Acquisition Coordinating Forum will be on March 13th from 9:00-4:00 in room 172 of the Natural Resources Building. The forum is focused on coordinating grant requests; state agencies will present their acquisition "wish lists" for potential funding in 2013. More

Membership News We are exploring a new "All-Inclusive" Agency Category and invite an Administration-level representative from your agency to join us for a focus group discussion. The focus groups will meet on March 16th via conference call as follows:
- 9:00am: Agency Level 1-4 (Under 2.5 mil operation budget)
- 10:30am: Agency Level 5 (2.5 - 10 million operating budget)
- 2:30pm: Agency Level 6-8 (10 million and above operating budget)

Teaching Safe Springboard Diving
May 20, 2012: Patti Southerland will be offering this course on how to teach diving that is safe, fun and informative for beginners-advanced level diving!
