It is VERY IMPORTANT that our members understand that if they are recipients of any type of grant, loan or earmark in the 2011-2013 Capital Budget, they need to get those funds under contract and be moving ahead with projects or risk being swept into a stop project situation for projects not ready. The Washington Recreation & Park Association has seven established awards to recognize organizations and individuals (both volunteers and professionals) for their contributions to the Park and Recreation field. WRPA also offers a spectrum of Spotlight Awards to recognize excellence in park and recreation projects, services and media. Nominations are now open and will close on Friday, February 24, 2012.
