It is VERY IMPORTANT that our members understand that if they are recipients of any type of grant, loan or earmark in the 2011-2013 Capital Budget, they need to get those funds under contract and be moving ahead with projects or risk being swept into a stop project situation for projects not ready.  For more information contact Doug at levy4@msn.com.

Washington Local Government Ballot Measures

RCFB Recruitment

The Governor is looking to appoint a new member to the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board beginning in January. Interested individuals should submit applications directly to the Governor's office. Applications should be received by December 1st.  This opportunity to serve is a chance to be part of a great organization that helps determine where investments should be made in Washington's great outdoors.  More / Apply 

Call for Conference Speakers

The Conference Education Committee (CEC) is now recruiting for keynote speakers and for general session speakers for Mid Year 2012 and Annual Conference 2013 and beyond.  We need your ideas, contacts and suggestions to help build amazing conferences.  More

Call for Nominations/Awards

The Washington Recreation & Park Association has seven established awards to recognize organizations and individuals (both volunteers and professionals) for their contributions to the Park and Recreation field.  WRPA also offers a spectrum of Spotlight Awards to recognize excellence in park and recreation projects, services and media.  Nominations are now open and will close on Friday, February 24, 2012.  More
