The winner of the competition will be decided by the number of on-line votes received from July 16th through July 26th.  Help recognize the Western U.S. as the best place to play tennis.  A vote for Beaverton, Oregon, is a vote for the West.  Please vote at www.besttennistown.com by July 26.
WWRP at Risk
As part of the "Transforming the Budget" process the Governor has initiated in preparation for the 2011-13 budgets,8 threshold questions are being asked about every part of the budget, and the Governor has appointed an Advisory Panel of 30+ members and there are 4 Town Hall meetings scheduled to present the state of the budget and trigger discussion and hear from the public.  WWRP has been put out as at least a potential example of a biennial expenditure that could be reduced or delayed during recessionary times.  WWRP and WRPA are lining up people to testify at each of the four executive budget meetings: Tacoma (7/19); Everett (7/21); Vancouver (7/27); and Spokane (7/29).  If you are interested in attending please connect with Doug Levy levy4@msn.com and review our list of talking points so that we deliver a consistent message.  More
