In 2009 I was challenged to shine. I played full out and had one of the best years of my life. For 2010 I'm challenging myself to do, be, and have what I really, really want - NOW! If not now, when? The theme for January is a lesson to me and my class participants to seize the day. Be grateful TODAY, be loving TODAY, be patient TODAY, be compassionate TODAY, be successful TODAY...follow your dreams TODAY. Each day that passes by is a moment that is missed, a moment that can change the rest of your life.

Sati Lifesaver
Warrior Inspiration

IntenSati was my lifesaver during a stressful finals week just before the holidays. I felt like I was drowning in my schoolwork and I couldn't wait for the week to be over. Then, three days before my first final, I took an intenSati class that I had organized, booking the leader (my friend) and the room in advance in my dorm building at Fordham.

Juliet Ben-AmiAfter the class, I went back to my dorm room feeling refreshed, powerful, and ready to conquer my studies. From then on, my finals week was smooth sailing. I breezed through those little blue test booklets with only a few short spurts of nervousness. This was unimaginable before I did an IntenSati class.

I am also on a mission to have 6-pack abs by the end of January, and IntenSati has been instrumental in achieving this goal. Not only did the affirmations help me stay positive and energetic, the cardio workout is also a great fat-burner. My heart and my willpower expanded from taking IntenSati, which strengthened me to the core - literally!  Juliet Ben-Ami, NYC

One Day at a Time 
Editor's Note     

I started a tradition this time last year I call "Small Little Victories," where I made a list of all that I had done during the past year and sent it to friends, colleagues, clients, and loved ones. My list wasn't intended to brag about myself (although that's fun too), but rather a way for me to share my life and to remind them that any goal can be achieved with determination, discipline, and focus.

 

With focusing on just the task at hand, the one action we can make toward a goal, we can accomplish anything - just one day at a time. The move of the month is Focus - PatriciaFOCUS.

 

Whenever you feel overwhelmed try this move for 1-5 minutes: Start with your arms pointing down to the ground straight out in front of you. Slice your arms in front of you 8 counts and say out loud: "Just one day at a time." Then raise your arms in front of you for another eight counts and say the affirmation again. Try jogging in place or even kicking your heels to your butt every time. Remember to keep your arms as straight as possible, generating a feeling of focus on whatever it is you want.

 

Now it's your turn to make a list of your "Small Little Victories" to share with the world and start on a band new list today to have the best year of your life - if not now, when?
