Greetings!

Your dreams, talents, passions and desires are your clues. Don't discount them, instead, honor them and you will find happiness in all you do. The best teaching to sum up this lesson for me is from Lao Tzu: "There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way." After more than 20 years of studying exercise, dance, Buddhism, Taoism, Yoga, meditation and personal empowerment techniques I know now that my greatest teacher, advisor and guide is my heart. I know now, more than ever to follow my heart and trust that it will always lead me to all I need. More

Warrior Challenge in Under Way
We had a great kickoff September 27th for our latest Warrior Challenge and it's our biggest one yet, 74 Warriors have accepted the challenge to transform their lives.
Shine a Light
A very big Thank You! to all who voted for the Shine a Light competition. We were not selected as a finalist but we are so grateful that the competition was a step in letting more of the world know who we are. Our top three status via popular vote is a testament to the power of our community!

Train Your Brain Leader Spotlight
intenSati has been popping up in fitness studios around the world and now it's in a science class at NYU! Intensati leader and professor Wendy Suzuki shares her work:
"I am teaching a new undergraduate course in the Center for Neural Science at NYU called "Can Exercise Change Your Brain?" This course combines an hour intenSati workout with an hour and a half lecture on the well-known effects of exercise on the brain. This course asks the experimental question, can increased exercise improve the cognitive performance of college age students? All students will be tested at the beginning and at the end of the semester to determine if their increased aerobic exercise improved their scores. My first class September 9th was met with a lot of giggling from the students, but also great participation. I've already gotten inspiring comments.
Students will also be able to increase their intenSati experience with the free NYU community intenSati classes that will be offered every Sunday through the fall. This is the start of an amazing new school year and I have intenSati to thank for the inspiration to pursue this fascinating new teaching and research direction! Wendy A. Suzuki, Ph.D., NYC.
A native of California, Wendy A. Suzuki got her B.A. in Physiology and Anatomy from U.C. Berkeley and her Ph.D. from U.C. San Diego in Neuroscience. A faculty member at NYU since 1998, she became an AFAA certified group fitness instructor in July of 2009.

Increase Your Vitality Thrive Tip
Boost your metabolism and your Sati habits with these three suggestions and increase your vitality!
1. Workout every day for 30 days in a row for at least 30 minutes. Keep it simple and do something you really love.
2. Sip hot lemon and water throughout the day. Drink a few sips every 30 minutes and kickstart your metabolism.
3. Avoid eating a heavy dinner. Have you heaviest meal at lunch so your body can use it for energy instead of store it as fat.

The Happiness Warrior Warrior Inspiration
We found a warrior who truly embodies happiness. Pasadena Leader, Dee Sweet-Slate, nominated Jo Ann Gantus:
 "Just like a thread woven into every fabric, intenSati has become woven into my mind, body, and spirit, allowing my life to be impacted every day. I am Free Now
Editor's Note
One of my favorite intenSati moves is FREE. I love this move because it's one of the most powerful ways we can allow our own happiness to occur. We have the opportunity, right now, to shift ourselves from fear into faith, from doubt into courage, and worry into action.
Stand on your left foot and place your right arm in front of you. Push off from your left foot and jump as far as you can to the right side (go for distance instead of height). At the same time take the arms up and overhead in a big arch, landing on your right foot and your left arm in front of you. Now try the other side. If jumping is too much, step your left from side to side, just remember to stay low with the legs.
Say out loud "I am free now," as you jump right and left for each word. Close your eyes and imagine who you would be if you free yourself from even one negative thought you have been carrying around with you. Try this for a minute or two, reaching farther each time. I love to add this move in between strength training sets to give myself an added reminder I am free to choose the thoughts that best support me.
Allowing freedom into our lives allows the heart to open and happiness to thrive.
