For businesses involved in print media, DRUPA is a key trade show to demonstrate industry leadership and to land essential business contracts. This event happens only every four years, so when KODAK needed to make a high-tech visual impact at this expo taking place at Messe Düsseldorf, Germany, they turned to Cheshire AV. And make an impact, they did!
We were proud to assist them with all their pre-planning and onsite execution and needs, including video production, tech direction, corporate branding and equipment. Their video and images looked spectacular on a huge 8'x20' LED wall, and with 30 plasma screens strategically placed across the show floor, KODAK's messaging soared and scored.
One innovation KODAK has become known for is their K-Zone, in which they bring in industry experts to discuss insights and trends, such as "A Conversation with Frank Romano," Professor Emeritus at RIT talking about the future of the printing industry, and a conversation between KODAK CEO Antonio Perez and Louis Barnett, founder of Chokolit. Louis became the youngest entrepreneur in Europe at age 12 and turned to KODAK for assistance with his creative packaging. You can check out more of the video Cheshire assisted them with onsite by visiting KODAK Drupa 2012 on Youtube.
Congratulations to KODAK for achieving 65% OVER its targeted sales goal for DRUPA! We are always proud to support our clients in their success and happy to celebrate such inspiring achievements!

Why Create Video?
How Video Contributes to Long-term Business Success

Companies that are considering having a video produced often wonder about its benefits and how the value offsets the costs. Beyond the increase in search engine rankings when used on a website, video does many things for a company - both externally and internally - that support long-term success.
When Cheshire and partner DeBergerac Productions created the Pink Glove video for Highland Hospital - winning second place in Pink Glove Competition with over 50K votes - the awareness it attracted for the hospital, the sense of pride and unity it produced among hospital employees, and the $5K it garnered for breast cancer research seemed like reward enough. But the benefits have gone much farther than that.

Theme Your Meeting for Sizzle
Companies that want to give their meetings "a new twist" often turn to a theme to add sizzle and structure that "ties the event together." A theme doesn't need to be as exotic as the one where Cheshire flew the CEO of a company in from the ceiling, but we can do whatever is desired! Here are a few ideas of things we've seen done very successfully: - For an international industry meeting, a synchronized swim team was brought in to illustrate, in a fun (and very popular) way, how industry members can work together.
- For a trade show focused on inspiration and creativity, two large canvases with images, started by a professional artist, were placed on stage. Attendees were invited to add to the canvases prior to and during breaks of the general session over the three days of the conference. The artist completed the "crowdworked" canvases, which were then auctioned off to benefit a charity.
- For an industry reception at a trade show, a Mardi Gras theme was chosen. The guests were given hand-made masks, some of the foods had a cajun twist and the table decor incorporated feathers, "faux" coins and beads, making it a fun, but inexpensive reception.
When events are held at out-of-town destinations, a great way to create memories is to take advantage of the unique offerings of the location... such as a hoedown with Texas two-step lessons or a luau on the beach. At the recent Reckitt-Benckiser sales meeting in California, the company took advantage of their California meeting location by planning a team building exercise with the Navy Seals stationed nearby.
According to Sue Avery of Avery Marketing, Cheshire's special events partner, "Incorporating a theme doesn't necessarily have to be expensive." She pointed out that by using elements such as colors, images and messaging, with a conceptual theme, the two work together to help create sharper memories and a stronger impact.
