President's Message
Mary Lou Gantzer, PhD, FACB New CLSI President
At the annual Leadership Conference at the end of March, three members of the Board of Directors were recognized for the completion of their service on the Board----Valerie L. Ng, PhD, MD, Michael Thein, PhD, and Naotaka Hamasaki, MD, PhD. I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of all of the members of CLSI, to thank them for their dedicated service.
The Leadership Conference is also the time when the new officers and Board members begin their terms of office, and I am pleased to introduce them to you.

CLSI-APHL: Anaerobic Bacteria Susceptibility Testing (588-612-12)

The two CLSI-approved reference methods for determining MIC end points for anaerobic organisms will be described, along with a more detailed discussion about endpoint determination. The teleconference will focus on material presented in the recently published CLSI document M11, which addresses methods for antimicrobial susceptibility testing of anaerobic bacteria.
