Outstanding Small Businesses of the Year Awards' Luncheon is June 7

On June 7, 2012 at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel, the North Texas Small Business Development Center and the Arlington Chamber will honor businesses, both small and large. The Chamber will also recognize its prestigious small businesses of the year in both the for-profit and non-profit categories. The emcee for the event will be a D/FW favorite - Scott Murray. The Arlington Chamber will recognize Graham Associates and SafeHaven of Tarrant County as the recipients of the 2012 Outsta nding Small Businesses of the Year. Early voting for the District 1 City Council runoff election begins on Monday, June 11. A list of early voting locations should be available within the next week. Information about the two candidates remaining on the ballot is available on www.voteforarlington.com. The runoff date for the City Council election is June 23.
There are also likely to be runoff elections of interest to Arlington voters after the results of today's Democrat and Republican primaries are tallied. The runoff date for the party primaries is July 29.
