"Envisioning the Future of North Texas and its Metroplex"

The UT Arlington College of Engineering is hosting a panel discussion on the future vision of the region's economy and how the College of Engineering can support that economic growth. The panel, moderated by Wes Jurey, Chamber President & CEO, will include Tim Barbee, CIO, City Council of Governments and Judy Bell from Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County. VoteForArlington.com to Post Candidates

Vote for ArlingtonFiling for the May 29 party primaries closed last Friday. The parties have until the end of the day today to transfer their lists for national and state candidates to the Texas Secretary of State for inclusion on the ballots. A list of the candidates running for US Congress, Texas Senate and Texas House districts that affect Arlington will be posted at the Chamber's voter information website by the end of the day Tuesday.

Chamber Members Invited to Join Industry Clusters

As part of its 10-year effort to build a comprehensive policy agenda, the Chamber of Commerce is forming advisory councils in six industry clusters. The primary charge to each of these councils is to (1) identify specific public policy concerns relative to each industry; (2) provide policy feedback as we develop our Ten Year Public Policy Agenda; and (3) recommend to the Board specific programs and services that will serve their industry's needs. Participation in the councils is open to all Chamber members. The meeting list and contact information can be found here

Women's Alliance to Hold Inaugural "Tiara Tuesday" 

The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber is holding a "Tiara Tuesday" on March 20 at Maverick's Grill from 5:00-7:00 pm. "Tiara Tuesday" is a wonderful opportunity for women and their friends to network and learn about women in the Arlington business community. Wear a tiara - you just might win a prize!
