Increasing Educational Achievement Increases Income Potential

Population changes in Arlington and Texas will challenge educational achievement over the next three decades, with serious implications for economic growth. At state Rep. Diane Patrick's fifth annual Education Summit, Dr. Steven Murdock, former state demographer presented a compelling case for increasing educational achievement and increasing incomes among the state's rapidly growing Hispanic population. $2,500 Scholarship for a High School Senior Planning to Attend UTA or TCC

As part of the Champion Education Initiative, the Arlington Chamber Foundation has a $2,500 scholarship available to one 2011-2012 graduating AISD student who plans to attend either UTA or TCC. See details and download application here.
