Message From the Principal
| |
Tonight, we host the final State of the School evening. Sharing the marvel of Fair Share and the successes of St. John is a most affirming experience. Even more gratifying is to witness the reality of the St. John mission each day in the classrooms, on the playground and at Mass. Last night at the Cultural Fair, we saw the eighth grade students exemplify the acquisition of many of the learning expectations as they proudly shared aspects of their ethnic heritages. They demonstrated compassion, acceptance, and respect for others; they worked cooperatively; recognized and appreciated diversity; engaged in a variety of learning modalities, spoke with proficiency and of course, met the curriculum standards! Thank you, parents and teachers for your support of the students at St. John. I am aware that the phrase may be overused, however, it is true: together, we make a difference!
Remember, we will have our first snow make-up day on Friday, February 17, when we will have a full day at school.
Beannacht - God Bless,
Bernadette O'Leary
