Message From the Principal
| |
As I take my dog for his shorter walks these days, I marvel at the beauty of the white landscape and the sounds of gleeful shrieks as the children sled and enjoy the snow. I thank God for my warm home and I pray for the homeless. I think about our efforts to reach out and I know that we must never become complacent. These are the days when we become even more aware of the lessons of Catholic education.
From National Catholic Educational Association, Catholic Schools Week 2012:
Catholic schools stand out from other educational institutions. Children are taught
Faith - not just the basics of Christianity, but how to have a relationship with God. Academics - which in Catholic schools are held to very high standards, helping each child reach his or her potential. Service - The giving of one's time and effort to help others is taught both as an expression of faith and good citizenship. Beannacht - God Bless,
Bernadette O'Leary
