When it comes to protecting and enhancing the immune system, exercise is even more important than diet. The fact that regular exercise combats depression, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness may also influence your immune health. Walking for exercise can bolster both antibody and T-killer cell response. To start your exercise regimen, walk briskly for twenty to thirty minutes a day five days a week.

And if chatting's your thing, or laughing, or sharing experiences or just hanging out with friends while you're keeping fit... then this group is ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY for you!

 

We have a regular get-together that takes us from Mairangi Bay to Browns Bay and back, and generally takes around an hour and a half, though sometimes that changes because of the tide.

 

 

COFFEE Our walks always finish with coffee and a chat - definitely a highlight!

So far the walking group has raised $1000 while having fun and doing what we love. So come and kick-start your weekend with a spectacular walk in amazing scenery, with a fun group of like-minded women, while raising money for the New Zealand Heart Foundation at the same time.
