FITNESS FIX SURPRISE! 

 

 It is amazing what the universe delivers when we ask... I had a conversation with my landlord last Wednesday to see if I can extend the studio into the garage he then had the builder and sparky lined up to start 2 days later and work through the weekend so as not to disrupt my clients! 

  

He also lined up the painter to come in after the builders to freshen up the walls  It will be a bit of a work in progress as we are waiting on the rubber matting to be off loaded from a ship from China (I am sure many of you are saying good luck on that one!)

So stay tuned for more updates as we get the extension completed... what with a new roof and the building getting a lick of paint on the outside we won't know ourselves!

So what will this mean for YOU .. we are going to have an extra area dedicated to cardio so Patricia and I will be able to dream up even more fabulous exercises!!!!  Stand by for lots more Fitness Fun!!

It is that time of year again and Easter is upon us, I hope that you have an exciting break planned or some downtime to re charge the batteries. Make the most of the extra days you have to fit in some extra exercise! Here's a thought... why not think about coming back from your break having done too much exercise rather than eating too many hot cross buns and Easter eggs!!!

FITNESS FIX WALKING GROUP

Meet: 7.30am every Saturday at Mairangi Bay Surf Club



 

If walking is your thing then this group is definitely for you... and if chatting's your thing, or just hanging out with friends while you're keeping fit... then this group is absolutely definitely for you!

 

We walk from Mairangi Bay to Browns Bay and return which takes around 1 1/2 hours.

Coffee: Our walks always finish with coffee and a chat - definitely a highlight!

Donation: Gold coin donation for the New Zealand Heart Foundation

 

WINTER WALKS

Each month throughout the winter we will do a longer walk... this is to keep our motivation up over the winter, to explore other parts of this amazing city and for those who are training for the Auckland 1/2 marathon or the New York marathon these longer walks will help prepare you for the event. The first longer walk is Okura on the 14th April (click below to find out more).

 

The next walk after Okura will be the Coast to Coast on the 19th May from the city to Onehunga... so mark this in your diary and I will post the details about this walk late April.

Our Fitness Fix star of the week is undoubtedly Robyn Black! Robyn got the weight loss results she deserved this week and it is amazing to see the change in Robyn's shape, as well as her fitness levels & ease of movement. Robyn got stuck in a traffic jam last Wednesday night and missed her session, and believe it or not she would have far rather made her session than have the excuse of the traffic, but I know that Robyn still did some exercise when she got home to make up for missing her class. Well done Robyn, and I know that the other members that train with you also celebrate in your success!
