2012 Priorities Roll Out
On January 24, NH CAN had a successful roll out of our 2012 Priorities for NH's Children. The roll out was held at the NH House Finance Committee hearing room, and was attended by numerous NH Legislators.

Legislators heard each of the 2012 NH CAN Priority Leaders present their priority and answer questions. Many of the questions were regarding NH CAN's Economic Security Priorities and related to preserving varied revenue options to fund essential services for NH's children.  There were several pointed questions, that were handled deftly by the individual priority leaders. Hopefully, this dialogue between NH CAN Partners and legislators will continue throughout the legislative session.

The Priority Fact Sheets are also on the Children's Alliance of NH website. View the Fact Sheets here.
Priority Update   (Legislative Tracking)
The legislative tracking has been updated as of this week. While there are some bills where hearings dates are unknown, all the bills related to each of the 2012 Priorities is in the update. These bills are being tracked by NH CAN Priority Leaders and we will share information through this newsletter as we receive it. We will continue to provide ALERTS on the NH CAN Priorities asking you to take action.

NH CAN is also tracking Past Priorities in the legislative tracking form. If we have omitted a piece of legislation, please bring it to our attention at [email protected] .
