Proposed Priorities Readied for Voting
Beginning October 3rd, propsed priorities will be persented to each workgroup. Those Partners at the workgroup will vote on which proposals become part of the Priorities document. Below are the ideas that may be presented as proposed priorities. There may be additional ideas that are presented by Partners for inclusion. - Overarching Priority to track impacts of state budget cuts and educate legislators .
HEALTH & WELLNESS
- Oral Health Access (particularly rural access)
- Preventing removal of ASD coverage from insurance laws (Connor's Law)
EDUCATION
- Categorical Aid (Special Ed, Building Aid, Voc Ed Aid)
- Constitutional Amendmnet on Education Funding
- Study centralizing human service resources in schools
- Protecting existing education funding
ECONOMIC SECURITY
- Child SupportPrevent tes
- Prevent tax cuts that will cause service cuts
- Prevent cuts that don't allow children to make decisions in their future (CACR 6 & 13)
- Childcare subsidies for workers
- Stop increasing security deposits
- TANF Family Cap
- Homestead Exemption
