Spirit of Youth seeks Teen Advisory Members!

Join the Spirit of Youth Teen Advisory Council (SOYTAC)!

Teen Advisory Council members will have the opportunity to:
  • Select the Spirit of Youth Award Recipients from across Alaska
  • Host inspiring teens from all over the state at the annual Spirit of Youth Awards
  • Organize community service projects
  • Help direct the non-profit organization, Spirit of Youth, and have your voice heard

Southeast Alaska Youth Ambassador Program 

Applications for the 2012-2013 Southeast Alaska Youth Ambassador Program are now being accepted!

 

Southeast Alaska Regional Health Corporation is inviting one student from all 18 communities in southeast to work with the "1 is 2 Many" task force to help them generate new ways to champion suicide prevention.

The Youth Ambassador Program was created to bridge the gap between youth and adults, and to give all youth a role and a voice for positive change in their communities.

Alaska Marketplace Youth Competition

The Alaska Federation of Natives is now accepting applications for its popular Alaska Marketplace Competition (AKM)! This year's competition calls on all Alaskans to share ideas that spark economic growth.

 

This year's theme, Investing in You, invites young Alaskans (18 years and under) to share your creative ideas! Think about your community and the businesses in your community. What are some ideas you have that can improve your community and its businesses? What are your ideas for new businesses? 

 

All applicants must address the theme, Investing in You. Start your application today!

 

Written or video essays must be submitted by September 28, 2012

Each year, over 150 youth are nominated for the Spirit of Youth Award.  Nominations are made by anyone who wishes to recognize a hard-working, inspiring teenager or youth group in one of 11 award categories.  

 

Spirit of Youth is governed by a board of directors and the Teen Advisory Council.
