What are YOU doing March 19-23, 2012?

Head to Juneau with Alaska Youth for Environmental Action (AYEA)! Their annual Civics and Conservation Summit will bring 20 youth leaders to the state capital for a week of high-impact, fun-filled, and adrenaline-pumping civic engagement lessons.
During this event, you will learn:
  • how to talk with the media,
  • how to communicate with elected officials
  • how to read a bill
  • how to impact decisions our leaders make about our environment and our lives

This is a life-changing training that will give teens skills they can use in any arena.

AYEA is currently accepting applications for youth participants, peer leaders, and adult trainers/volunteers.

The deadline to apply is January 15, 2012.

Please contact Claire Berezowitz, AYEA Program Coordinator, with any questions at claire@ayea.org
Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service: January 16th

mlkday

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'" Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities. Learn how to plan, serve, and report impact at www.MLKDay.gov.
