Daveste' Vineyard

News

Harvest News

For the sixth time, since the planting of the vineyard in 2005,

the much anticipated harvest at Daveste' will soon come to an end. Overall, the fruit this year has been plentiful and of good quality for winemaking.

The sugar content, the pH level and maturity of the berry were key factors in determining the exact harvest date. The picking of the Cabernet Sauvignon this Saturday will bring this season to a close.  Over the winter months, our winery is once again, making quality wine for our friends of Daveste' Vineyards.

THANKS to all of our volunteers for lending a helping hand and to Vineyard Manager, Garrett Borden, Winemaker, Jason Wiseman and Grounds and Facilities Manager, Shayne Bolin.

Wendy Wooten

Wendy Wooten is a native of Iredell County and has been performing in and around the area for some time now. Her musical style is a blend of folk and pop sounds from around the 70's through today's music. Some of her musical influences include Sheryl Crow, Carly Simon and Neil Young, just to name a few. Her acoustic guitar and vocal sounds are reminiscent of a coffee house experience. When she's not tending to her vineyard, you can find Wendy enjoying family and friends, and of course, music.
