Pushout Theft of the Week
Mom Had Son Do Shoplifting

A woman was ticketed at Walmart after allegedly orchestrating a theft with her juvenile son and then trying to pin the blame on him when they were caught. Police were called to the store after employees noticed the woman placing identical items in two carts. An employee said this practice is common for shoplifters who purchase one cart of items and use the receipt to retrieve the second cart of unpaid-for items. After purchasing the items in the first cart, the woman gave the receipt to her son, who returned to retrieve the second cart.
