The Des Moines Area Religious Council is seeking a development associate for to assist our Development/Fundraising function for DMARC, a non-profit organization serving the Greater Des Moines/Polk County community. This person will be responsible for:

• Under the direction of the Development Director, provide administrative support for the Development function, including formatting communications such as DMARC Briefs, Grant/Revenue Management Report, grant proposals and supporting documents, fund development plan, etc.  Maintain grant and contract reports calendar and ensure timely submission of related reports and financial draw requests. 
• Work closely with Development Director to track, compile and analyze program client demographics and project outcomes data necessary for reports to funders, including Iowa Department of Human Services, United Way and others. 
• With direction from the Development Director, manage fundraising-related special events, including facility reservations, guest registrations, communication with event principals, including vendors, donors, etc.
• Create and maintain appropriate donor files related to annual campaign, special events and other fundraising activities.  
• Maintain meeting/appointment calendar and schedule donor visits. Compile meeting notes and information for cultivation/stewardship of prospective major donors.
• Assist in maintaining integrity of Raiser's Edge or other donor database including, but not limited to, removal and merging of duplicate records, change-of-address updates, and routine maintenance of the database. 
• Update and generate monthly and annual donor database reports, including donations and donor trends, i.e., new donors, donor retention, donor frequency, and levels of giving. 
• As needed, assist with processing of charitable contributions; enter data into donor database.  
• Other general office duties as assigned, including answering phones, assisting walk-in visitors/donors, etc.
