On Thurs, Feb 2nd at 1pm, experts will teach us about habitat restoration that is occurring around our state. Learn about restoration efforts along the Hudson River, Bronx River, and in our bays. More details about each of the topics that will be discussed are listed below.
We are offering this Webinar during the daytime so that YOU AND YOUR CLASS can join us! The easiest way to participate with your class is to login using a projector or SmartBoard. Speakers include:
- Damian Griffin, Education Director at Bronx River Alliance, who will talk about oyster reintroduction and/or salt marsh habitat restoration work at the mouth of the Bronx River
- Kim Barbour, Outreach Coordinator, Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Meadows Program, who will discuss eelgrass bed restoration in NY waters
- Beth Roessler, with NYSDEC, who will present on stream buffer work along the tributaries of the Hudson River.
