President's Note
Dear NYSMEANS,
Happy New Year! We all have our resolutions each year-- to lose weight, spend lesson money, be more organized, etc. Have you considered resolving to be more involved in NYSMEA?
As you know, our organization is entirely volunteer; it functions because we are all willing to put in time and effort, to share our talents, and to invite others to join us.
We have several upcoming opportunities for you to be more involved, including planning for our 2012 Conference (Save the date-- June 9, 2012 at SUNY Maritime under the Throgs Neck Bridge), participating in our Share-A-Thon on Jan 21st, or editing articles for Ripples. If none of these sound like your thing, feel free to email me with ideas on how you can contribute to your organization. Meg Meghan Marrero, Ed.D. NYSMEA President
