President's Note
Dear NYSMEANS,
With over 100 members, we collectively probably have thousands of years of experience in education and outreach. It's time to share you expertise!

In January, we will hold a Share-A-Thon, a great place to share ideas for lessons, activities, or tools you have used, and to learn what others are doing. As educators, we often find ourselves working in isolation. The event, taking place at Columbia University on January 21, 2012, will be an opportunity to share and learn. We are looking for presenters--complete the following form, and Nordica, our Education Committee Chair, will be in touch.
Additionally, NYSMEA members will be getting our first issue of Ripples, the Journal of the New York State Marine Education Association very soon. Thanks to those who submitted articles, reviewed, or edited--your help is much appreciated. Have an idea for an article? Please email me!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS from your NYSMEA family!
Thanks to all that attended our holiday party last Saturday night. We had a great dinner, a chance to mingle with more than 60 people over mulled wine, and an outstanding lecture from Nicholas Coch (see his tv appearance here)! For those that couldn't make it, we hope to see more of you in 2012!
