We know that "April showers bring May flowers" and that our yards and gardens desparately needed the several inches of rain we have accumulated in the last month but the cold, wet weather has us daydreaming about "Islands".

You may be dreaming of the tropical kind and picture yourself poolside under a swaying palm tree with an umbrella'd drink in hand but at D.R. Domenichini Construction when we dream of islands we dream about adding valuable counter and storage space . A stylish centerpiece that can make cooking, dining, working, and even just hanging out with friends in your kitchen a more pleasurable experience.

A well-designed and constructed kitchen island can be the perfect addition to your kitchen. Well-placed drawers and shelves keep utensils and favorite pots within easy reach, so you don't waste steps. Whether your style is contemporary or traditional, we can help design and build the ideal island for your dream kitchen.

Enjoy our "Island Issue". Bon Voyage!

Car Guy Corner:
A note from the desk of David Domenichini
Bathroom Feels Bigger

Just in time for the first signs of Spring, my winter project is officially in the home stretch. "Walt" still needs a few finishing touches but, like Willie Nelson, Walt is On the Road Again. It's amazing how what starts out as a simple task can snowball into a full blown project. I call this the Midas Theory. If I'm going to paint the car, I "Midas" well pull the engine so I can paint the engine compartment. And while I am pulling the engine, I "Midas" well pull the transmission. And if I'm going to do that, I "Midas" well convert it to a 4 speed. And pull the subframe, rebuild all the suspension and brakes, the differential... I "Midas" well get new wheels and tires, etc.

I was actually planning on selling the car but at this point.... I "Midas" well keep it!

Here is a list of car shows in and around town scheduled in the next few months. We hope to see you there!

OK. You might not need or want a retractable island in your kitchen but after watching this 1-minute video, you will have to agree that it is a very cool iPhone app.  If you have a favorite video to share, please send them to
