MORGAN HILL, Calif., February 09, 2012 --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- D.R. Domenichini Construction, a local, family-owned and operated construction company specializing in home remodels and additions, will donate 225 hours of labor, as well as any other support necessary to manage a construction project from start to finish for one needy and deserving individual or family living in Morgan Hill, CA. The current estimated value of the total project is in the range of $25K- $30K but could be higher depending on the amount of donated funds and materials and labor received from community members and organizations. Possible projects include remodeling a damaged kitchen or updating various rooms of a home to make it wheelchair accessible.
"I am fortunate to live in the Morgan Hill area where community members have genuine care and concern for each other and are willing to step up to help another when needed," said David Domenichini, D.R. Domenichini Construction (DRDCon) company owner. "During these challenging economic times, I wanted to 'pay-it-forward' and donate my company's time, labor and resources to help a disadvantaged and deserving family or individual. This might just be the springboard to help someone achieve their goal."
DRDCon is committed to performing all activities related to this construction project including but not limited to:
* coordinating a fundraising event (the goal is to raise at least $5,000 to pay for building materials)
* donating over $20,000 worth of in-house labor
* bringing together subcontractors and materials suppliers to donate time and materials
* procuring materials; managing the budget; and coordinating with the city officials for all necessary permits
DRDCon has been serving the Morgan Hill area for 7+ years. The company is the proud recipient of the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award 2012. David Domenichini has 20 years experience working in construction and resides in the Morgan Hill area with his wife, Gina. Both David and Gina actively support various community organizations in Morgan Hill including the Historical Society, Habitat for Humanity, YMCA, Rotary and Kiwanis organizations, as well as the Chambers of Commerce in Morgan Hill, Gilroy and Cupertino.
