MXS Series - Slide Table Actuators
The MXS slide table was a breakthrough product when it was first introduced in 1993, and it is still SMC's best selling slide series. Prior to the development of MXS, a systems integrator or end user would combine a linear cylinder with a custom platform mounted on a linear slide. The MXS combines these components into a single actuator, eliminating cost, complexity,  and design time.
The MXS consists of dual bore pistons pushing a wide work table, which is coupled to the aluminum body by a linear guide with cross roller elements. The body provides mounting in three directions from through or tapped holes. Grooves are provided for flush mounted auto switches. The table provides two surfaces, top and front, for mounting the work piece. Dowel pin holes are included in the top surface for repeatability.
