Hampton Yacht Club wants to especially thank the young men and women and their coaches of the USNA 44's Integrity and Gallant. These individual sailors pitched in and led by doing in the aftermath of the tornado that cut Southern Bay Race Week short. Lin McCarthy said, "They were wonderful!"

 

  

 

BCYA Race to Baltimore

Saturday 7 July

Truly a "Race to Baltimore", an anticipated 60 sailboats in seven classes will rendezvous at the mouth of the Magothy River. The approximately 20 nm race over a designated course will proceed north on the Chesapeake Bay and up the Patapsco River, ending in Baltimore Harbor at the Tide Point, just opposite Fells Point.

 

Awards will be given out and results posted at Shuckers on Broadway Pier, 1629 Thames Street. Food and drink specials will be announced at the social. Stay over in Fells Point for the night life and race Rock Creek Racing Association's Star-Spangled Classic back on Sunday

NEW JERSEY BOUND

Comet North Americans

An eastern shore Comet sailor is looking for a tow to Ocean Port, about 40 miles north of Toms River, NJ. The weight would be no more than 500lbs. The Comet North Americans are June 23 and 24 in Ocean Port and Wick Dudley would like to find a ride prior to the championship event.

Rock Hall Yacht Club invites Optis, Laser Radial and C420s to compete on Thursday 28 June. This CBYRA High Point event will provide great practice racing for the JOs!
