A Regional Focus to a National Initiative
This summit will be hosted at the Annapolis Yacht Club on Saturday 21 January from 10 am to 5 pm and focus on keelboat team racing and specifically growing team racing in the Chesapeake Bay region.
A strong attendance from Chesapeake region yacht club / team racing representatives is expected, but the panel of speakers and presenters will include those who have extensive experience in the success and growth of keelboat team racing programs around the country.

Qualifying Regatta Needed on the Bay
The Annapolis Match Race Center's goal is to promote and build match racing on the Chesapeake Bay. Jeff Riedle is the Center's President and the Area C representative on the U.S. Match Race Championship Committee. Jeff would like to open communications with anyone on the Bay that is interested in match racing, or any clubs that may be looking at running match race regattas.
Area C has been under-represented in match racing. Currently, the qualifiers in our region of the country are combined into "Area A, B & C". The qualifying regattas are usually held in Long Island Sound, and further north. Jeff is hoping we can run, at least, one "first round" qualifying regatta in this area.

Receive a special discounted rate of $60 per NEW page in the 2012 Green Book if your Club or Fleet has not published a page in the past three years. That is 30% off the regular price! Pages and payments must be received by 1800 on Friday 27 January. This offer is good for PHRF, Cruising One Design or One-Design event pages. Contact the Green Book Editor, Mark McGonigle, at greenbook@cbyra.org for more details and support creating your NEW page.
For Clubs or Fleets who currently have pages in the Green Book, you can get a special price of $75 for any additional NEW pages! All NEW draft pages and associated payments must be received no later than 1800 on Friday 27 January.
Existing rates and deadlines still apply for all current Green Book pages and payments. Late fees are now being assessed. |
