Annapolis Yacht Club
Frostbiters, join AYC staff and volunteers for the "morning after" regatta also known as Hangover Bowl to welcome in the New Year. The entry fee for the 2011-2012 AYC Frostbite Series includes a start on January 1st, following the Skippers Meeting at AYC's Clubhouse at 1200. What a great way to start off the 2012 Sailing Season!

Early Entry Fee Deadline
If you want to be on the start line for the BOR, the entry fee is $850 if received before January 2, 2012; $950 after. Entries may be made online at bermudaoceanrace.com. Final entry deadline is May 1, 2012.
The BOR begins in Annapolis June 8, 2012 and finishes 753 nautical miles later in Bermuda. The competition welcomes racing veterans, 1st timers and cruisers. It's open to any single- or multi-hulled sailing yacht 28- feet length overall or greater. There will be spinnaker, non-spinnaker, double-handed and one-design classes. There will also be a separate demonstration class for the Mini 6.5s.

Excellence in Race Administration
This award will recognize an individual, certified by US Sailling, who has made outstanding contributions to the sport of sailing in the field of Race Administration in the CBYRA region. This is intended to help raise awareness within the local sailing community of the crucial role these volunteers play and hopefully encourage more quality folks to get involved. This ties into the national US Saling annual award, the Harmin Hawkins Trophy.
Email the office with your nomination(s) for 2011 Excellence in Race Administration. Please include the individual's name and any other pertinant details along with your recommendation. |
