All member club delegates are invited to attend the CBYRA Annual General Meeting this Saturday 3 December at the Annapolis Yacht Club. Registration opens at 0900 in the Skipjack (ground level) and the meeting will be called to order at 0930.
Club Delegates are asked to complete and return the following items prior to the meeting:

~ Proxy Form (if Delegate can not attend)
~ 2012 Club Renewal Form
~ 2012 Club Dues Invoice (send check for $250)

20th Anniversary
Organizers are proud to announce the 20th anniversary of the Leukemia Cup Regatta will be held on 1-2 June 2012. June 1 will be an exciting auction evening hosted by Annapolis Yacht Club. Saturday is a day of racing followed by the post race awards party hosted by Eastport Yacht Club. In celebration of the 20th anniversary we have introduced a new logo.

Hadley Award
Established in 2008, the Shawn Hadley "Foredeck with a Winning Spirit" perpetual trophy recognizes the unsung heroes on the pointy end of the boat. Nominees should embody the essential skills and elements for victory that Shawn Hadley brought to the game for each race: team building, sailing competence, winning attitude and sense of humor. Additional characteristics desired for the winner may include, but are not limited to, an eagerness to teach newcomers to sailing, respect for safety, devotion of time to the boat preparation and 'rallying the troops' with victory music.
Nominations for the Hadley Award may be made by anyone, but the nominee must be an adult CBYRA member.
Email nominations to office@cbyra.org for the 2011 Hadley Award today. Please include the individual's name, boat(s) name and fleet along with a complete description of how your nominee embodies this Winning Spirit. All crew members are encouraged to include their personal comments. |
