Bay Head Yacht Club, New Jersey
US SAILING is presenting the 2011 One-Design Sailing Symposium at Bay Head, New Jersey (BHYC) this coming weekend from Friday 11 through Sunday 13 November. The registration fee is $150 ($195 for non-US SAILING members). There will be experts, panels, seminars, and workshops galore. US SAILING One-Design Awards will be presented Saturday night and Gary Jobson will be the keynote speaker. You can find details about the Symposium and register online at

EYC Leftover Bowl

The annual Leftover Bowl Regatta is set for the Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 26), beginning at 1300. This is a truly fun event and everyone goes home with a trophy. It's called "Leftover Bowl" because it gives Clubs a chance to clear out unclaimed racing trophies, previously un-awarded because of uncooperative weather, a designated class didn't show up, and so on.
There are two classes, Racing (spinnaker) and Cruising (non-spinnaker) and everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. If you need a courtesy PHRF rating, email the Race Committee at race.committee@eastportyc.org and someone will gladly assist. Don't forget the special best dressed award. |

Excellence in Race Administration
This award will recognize an individual, certified by US Sailling, who has made outstanding contributions to the sport of sailing in the field of Race Administration in the CBYRA region. This is intended to help raise awareness within the local sailing community of the crucial role these volunteers play and hopefully encourage more quality folks to get involved. This ties into the national US Saling annual award, the Harmin Hawkins Trophy.

All member club delegates are invited to attend the CBYRA Annual General Meeting on Saturday 3 December at the Annapolis Yacht Club. Registration will open at 0900 in the Skipjack (ground level) and the meeting will be called to order at 0930.
