There are also a couple Junior events listed in the Kid Corner to round out your choices. Forward this email to crew and friends so they can keep informed too. | CEDAR POINT RACE | | |
Gibson Island Yacht Squadron
First run in 1929, this event will return to its original date on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. It will be an inter-regional distance event on Friday 2 September combining a Region 2 start with Region 3 marks. GIYS invites PHRF A, B, C/D, N and Corinthian boats to compete. Double points are awarded toward class trophies and handicap divisions for Annapolis Race Week to those who also complete the Cedar Point Race.

| STINGRAY POINT REGATTA | | |
Fishing Bay Yacht Club
FBYC has planned an enhanced sailing event September 2, 3 & 4 that promises to be a fun weekend for all. Classes invited are PHRF Spin, PHRF Non Spin, J105, and Cruising with daily awards Friday and Saturday. On Sunday the class awards will be given along with the Brent Halsey Jr. Memorial Trophy and the Potts Southern Bay Challenge Cup. For all the details go to stingraypointregatta.org.
Social events include a poolside cocktail party Friday night, a buffet dinner and live entertainment. On Saturday racers will be served table side under the tent before daily awards and then enjoy a great band and dancing. On Sunday, delight in an old fashion Labor Day Cookout and final awards ceremony. |
| 82nd ANNUAL BILL HEINTZ MEMORIAL REGATTA | | |
West River Sailing Club
One Design racers are invited to race in the 82nd Annual Bill Heintz Memorial Regatta in Galesville, MD on Saturday 3 September and Sunday 4 September. WRSC looks forward to hosting competitors with small-town culture and sharing their beautiful club grounds.
Online registration is preferred and due by 30 August.

| 45th ANNUAL ANNAPOLIS RACE WEEK | | |
Family Friendly Festival
CBYRA will host ARW on Saturday through Monday, 3-5 September downtown again this year. ARW is registered as a Clean Regatta with Sailors for the Sea and WasteStrategies is on board to help meet the goal of a Bronze level certification. There is no need to stress about recycling, but if you feel tense Elements Therapeutic Massage will be on site to soothe sore muscles.

Twenty boats signed up last week to race and the J/35 Class has already reached the 5 boat minimum for a start and only need 2 more for a 2nd Place award. Enter early to make sure there are enough awards and your boat name is features on the official shirt!

Regatta Support Fund is provides seed money or a budget booster to Regattas, of any CBYRA sanctioned class or classes, held at a member Club.
Fund for Chesapeake Sailors provides grants to member sailors campaigning for the Olympics, National or International regattas and championships.
