The National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame is pleased to announce their first navigation class for youngsters entitled Finding Your Way on Chesapeake Bay. This activity based class for students entering grades 6, 7 or 8, will be held at their City Dock facility, 67 Prince George Street.  The class will run from 9 AM to noon, Monday 1 August through Friday 5 August and the fee is $100 per student.

Thanks to the generosity of Weems & Plath, students will each have the use of a personal navigation kit.  They will learn to use all of the tools in the kit as they learn some history of navigation, how to identify aids to navigation and how to plan and plot voyages around the Bay.  While most of their time will be in the classroom, we do plan an excursion to one of the NOAA John Smith Trail buoys.
