Join the Chesapeake Bay Star Fleet on Saturday 9 July and Sunday 10 July at GIYS for a Cookout on Friday, Racing and Dinner at Gibson Island Club on Saturday and more Racing and Awards with Grill on Sunday.

 

Series prizes will gp to the skipper and crew finishing 1st through 3rd place, Novice, Masters and a Vintage boat award.

 

Register before Friday 1 July to avoid the late fee.

American Red Cross One-Design Cup
Miles River Yacht Club

The regatta is a CBYRA sanctioned event held on Saturday 6 August and Sunday 7 August and is open to all One-Design classes, including, but not limited to: Stars, Penguins, Comets, Chesapeake 20's, Club 420's Optimist Prams (all fleets) and Shields. Each boat has an opportunity to raise boat sponsorship money payable to the American Red Cross (tax deductible) at time of registration. Volunteer crew accommodations are available by contacting John Gargalli by Friday 29 July at john.gargalli@gmail.com.

 

The Miles River Yacht Club grounds will be open to the community for the two day regatta event for a $5.00 per person gate donation to the American Red Cross (children under 12 are free). There will be refreshments available, music by the Old and New Bluegrass Band from 2:30 to 6:30 pm, awards ceremonies Saturday and Sunday with a new perpetual overall winner trophy to be unveiled on Sunday. Saturday the American Red Cross will host a $20 buffet dinner and cash bar from 5:30 to 7:30 pm followed by the results of a raffle and silent auction.

Reserve Fund provides a means to support projects and programs of special merit or need.

Regatta Support Fund is provides seed money or a budget booster to Regattas, of any CBYRA sanctioned class or classes, held at a member Club.  

 

Fund for Chesapeake Sailors provides grants to member sailors campaigning for the Olympics, National or International regattas and championships.
