Rendo Sugimoto resides in the city of Izu-Kogen, located on the Izu Peninsula on the Japanese Island of Honshu. The Izu Peninsula, (once a volcanic island itself), has some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in the world and, due to its proximity to many of Japan's most active volcanoes, has countless hot springs.
Along the peninsula is the Amagi mountain range. It is here that Rendo developed the
Amagi Thermal Therapy.
"Amagi" means" mountains that reach to the heavens" and is based on "Gyoja", a form of Japanese shamanism that combined with Buddhism in the 7th century. His technique combines this knowledge of healing through the powers of Nature together with other elements discovered during his own healing experiences. Being gravely ill many years ago, physicians using conventional medicine had been unable to
bring him back to a reasonable state of health.
Rendo realized that he, himself, had to take
the responsibility for his health if he was to
survive. It was through this inspiring personal
journey of healing that Amagi Thermal
Therapy was born. This teaching is slanted towards health care professionals this technique will be a great addition to your procedures. If you are a Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, Dr. of Oriental Medicine, Physical Therapist, or Medical Doctor. Learning just one of his basic techniques may make the difference in a successful outcome to conditions you are treating. This is a short seminar that will give you some great tools. His 3rd time teaching at The Sacred Space. Both of his prior events had long waiting lists for seats. We've had numerous requests for a more in-depth presentation so here it is.
Utilizing the Izu Peninsula's pure and mineral-rich hot springs in the same way people in the area had done since ancient times, he developed a unique approach to self-healing and treating pain that includes natural elements, Due to its proximity to many of Japan's most active volcanoes, oriental medicine, breathing techniques and sound therapy. Amagi Thermal Therapy is focused on re-establishing a balanced mind-body relationship. It is practical and based on the belief that each one of us is solely responsible for maintaining our own state of health.
Rendo has been teaching this amazing healing method, originating in Japan's sacred mountains, to the general public and to medical professionals in Japan and internationally for over two decades.
In Sedona Arizona, Rendo participated in the gathering which was organized by ICA (Adam Yellowbird) as a Japanese elder . He taught this healing method in Ringing Rocks Foundation Sedona.
In Santa Barbara, he has lectured at UCSB organized by professor Dan Smith and Bruce L. Erickson.
In Japan he lectures 250+ times per year.
This is a learning opportunity to connect with your inner healer from the Japanese master of ancient shamanism & Buddhist techniques.
