Hear of the importance of Sacred Art as a "wake up call" within the wondrous dream of life to contemplate this Divine Source of all persons, forms and energies, thereafter to find deep spiritual beauty within the poignant experiences and relationships of daily life.
In this heart to heart sharing about our yearning for both personal connection and Transpersonal Divine Realization, Timothy will help you unlock doorways to your own infinite being. In our small intimate lecture hall you can personally meet Timothy and have your deepest questions answered.
We will also have his critically acclaimed book "Women of Power and Grace" available and for signing after the event, if you have his book please

Timothy does
not charge for speaking but will donate his proceeds directly to benefit the
local homeless community. The Sacred Space presents events on a break-even
basis.

Timothy Conway,
Ph.D.
Is a spiritual
healer/teacher, author and educator living with his wife and two cats in Santa
Barbara, California, and has for over 25 years facilitated radical spiritual
awakening. He has studied and practiced the nondual essence of our sacred
traditions for 35 years, meeting many enlightened masters, especially in
Advaita Vedanta (Ammachi, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, Sri Ramana Maharshi's
immediate followers, and others) and various lines of Buddhism, as well as
spiritual adepts in Taoism, Sufism and mystic Christianity and Judaism.
Timothy is the
author of the widely acclaimed book, Women of Power and Grace: Nine
Astonishing, Inspiring Luminaries of Our Time, and is publishing two large
books on India's most illustrious sages of the modern era and past eras,
entitled India's Sages, which is the richest collection of inspiration yet
assembled from sacred India. He has also authored a forthcoming trilogy of
works on "Spirituality in the New Millennium": 1) Healing Our World;
2) Our Religions' Future; 3) and Spirit, Science, and Deep Wonder.

For over 20
years Timothy has taught a variety of courses in Psychology and Spirituality
through Santa Barbara City College's renowned Adult Education program. As part of these courses, he has often
shared with students a vast, rare collection of archived slide-show images of
holy persons and sacred art from the world's spiritual traditions.
With an M.A. and
Ph.D. in the East-West Psychology program from the California Institute of
Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, CA, Timothy has expertise on
spiritual awakening, sacred traditions, a variety of meditation methods and
other spiritual techniques, the dynamics of spiritual leadership, and
healthy/unhealthy features of religious movements new and old.
Among other
unique contributions to the field of religious studies, Timothy has articulated
1) a basic manifesto on spiritual awakening; 2) a model of 12 different
spiritual temperaments, 3) a lengthy set of "warning signs" for
dysfunctional cult dynamics, and 4) an array of positive criteria for authentic
spiritual maturity.
Timothy has been
a keynote speaker at numerous conferences; a long interview with him discussing
aspects of mystical spirituality and engaged spirituality was the lead piece in
the April 2003 issue of The Sun magazine, the well respected national literary
magazine focusing on psychology, spirituality, and politics. A more recent
